The Conversation was created in January 2011 by Joshua
Mercer, an Educator, Entrepreneur, and Philanthropist in
Chicago, Illinois. His inspiration behind creating
the
Conversation
was to create a rich network "go-getters"...today's
young, motivated, progressive, and most talented professionals.

After graduating from Howard University (2003), Joshua moved
back home to Chicago where he began his career working in
his mother's insurance agency. After two years, Joshua decided
to pursue his lifelong dream as a teacher and in 2006, earned
his Master's in Education. After teaching Entrepreneurship and
Leadership in Chicago Public Schools for 6 years

After six years as an award winning Entrepreneurship and
Leadership teacher...Joshua could no longer fight the
"entrepreneurship bug" and quit his job to work for himself
fulltime.

Joshua is responsible for the founding of the following ventures:
